Managing the Water Grid
The SEQ Water Grid Manager (Water Grid Manager) is a Government-owned statutory body responsible for managing the strategic operation of the SEQ Water Grid (Water Grid).
We started operation on 1 July 2008. Our role is to manage the Water Grid to maintain regional water security and quality; ensuring sufficient water supplies are provided throughout South East Queensland efficiently and cost effectively.
Delivering water security to South East Queensland is our core business.
In managing water security for the region, we balance the needs of the community and the environment.
To do this, we work in partnership with Grid Participants and Government stakeholders, and develop innovative ways to operate the Water Grid.
